WHAT YOU NEED

  • Metric soft measuring tape
  • Hard measuring tape
  • Permanent marker
  • An assistant
  • A chair

WHY WE USE METRIC / CENTIMETERS

If you are off on measurements a centimeter or so, it's no big deal. An inch is a lot...

WHY YOU NEED AN ASSISTANT

Have you ever tried tying your own hands together? It's really not as easy as you would think. You need to be relaxed during your measurements. Some of the measurements span the entirety of your spine starting from your collarbone, around your groin, up to the nape of your neck. Good luck doing that one by yourself.

We want as little clothing on you as you are comfortable with. This should factor into your decision as to whom will aide in measurement.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We will start with a short disclaimer regarding measurements. We will cover the need for the person getting measured doing as little as possible

We also highly encourage you to wear as little as possible during the measurements. Please don't show up nude and don't dress in a way that would make you or your assistant uncomfortable

Then we will make a set of reference marks on the skin of the person being measured.

Once this is set we will use those marks to start measuring. There is a total of 25 measurements taken to ensure your suit fits you perfectly

GETTING NAKED

You won't (hopefully) be naked. However, less clothes allow for a quicker and more precise measurement process.

AT ANY POINT if you feel uncomfortable, cold, shy, etc., please do not hesitate to let us know and we will make appropriate adjustments.

CAMERA SETUP + LIGHTING

It is important that you are in a calm and quiet environment so we can communicate effectively. We will need to be able to see you from head to toe, please ensure ample space and test your setup ahead of the meeting.

Lighting matters, we don't want hard light coming from any angles. We want to be able to clearly see and mark your body. Hard shadows can be misleading on camera.

We might also ask you to move your camera close up to ensure measurements and marks are made correctly.
